Puppies & Juniors
Every dog learns at his or her own pace, so part of the training process is about getting to know how your dog learns, and what does and doesn't come easily. We'll cover basic house, obedience and safety training, along with heel, recall, lead work, steadiness and other essentials - all with easy-to-follow steps that will be fun as well as delivering great results.

Obedience and
"trust-training"
Good recall, loose-lead walking, off-lead walking, the ability to 'sit' and 'wait' unless told otherwise, whistle-training for quick and easy commands... all of these are very achievable and immensely satisfying for you and your spaniel. The joy they experience when they 'get it right' cannot be beaten - and for you, watching the delight on their faces as they come racing back to you time and again is just wonderful. You'll build unbreakable bonds and trust in one another - you can't put a price on that.l

Field ('gundog') training
You don’t need to participate in or even approve of the shooting world to field-train your spaniel. Gundog training gives you and your dog a fantastic mental and physical workout, and instils focus, confidence and discipline that transfers from the field into ‘everyday life’. Our kind, fun, stimulating sessions start from total basics through to intermediate and more experienced workers. We'll explore scent work, quartering, 'the hunt', retrieves, steadiness, and much more. Most importantly, we'll be guided by you and your spaniel - field training is a personal choice, and can be as "light" or as focussed as you wish.

Nutrition
“You get out what you put in” is true for all dogs – arguably more so for spaniels. Identifying the right food isn't always easy: for instance, puppy, juniors and senior diets are quite different. Then there is weight management, joint maintenance, pregnancy, post-op, intolerances and allergies. I can work with you to formulate the best nutrition plan for your spaniel: cost-effective, nutrient-packed, and (of course) very tasty.
